MittiMuse was founded on a simple belief: You should never have to suffer from painful, red, or inflamed ears just to wear beautiful handcrafted jewelry.
It started on a sunny October evening—my 22nd birthday dinner. I had spent weeks searching for the perfect pair of handcrafted statement earrings to match my outfit. They were stunning: vibrant terracotta tones, intricate organic shapes, and pure artisanal soul.
“By the time the main course arrived, my earlobes were burning, swollen, and throbbing with pain. Like millions of women across India, I was forced to take them off and hide them in my bag.”
That night sparked an obsession. Why did Indian handcrafted fashion jewelry force such an unfair compromise? Why did traditional earrings rely on cheap brass alloys and toxic nickel posts that trigger contact dermatitis?
I cleared my study desk, invested in blocks of lightweight polymer clay, calibrated oven curing temperatures, and sourced genuine medical-grade 316L Surgical Stainless Steel. MittiMuse was born from that tiny studio desk: “Mitti” (the sacred earth of India) +“Muse” (the creative inspiration inside every woman).
